About Kristy:
I am a Mommy to 3 incredible children and my fur baby. I am an ISR Master Instructor and a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with my BA in Communication and my MBA.
15 years ago, I was traveling often for my job in Marketing. I had just built a pool in my backyard and I began having fears that something could happen to my daughter. Our Nanny could not swim nor could my daughter at 11 months old.
I found ISR through an old college friend who's daughter completed lessons in Central Florida. I sought out to find an ISR Instructor nearby and enrolled right away. I drove over 30 minutes each way for our 10 minute lesson but what she learned was so amazing, the daily drives and yelling child were beyond worth it!
After my "ISR Mom" experience, I felt compelled to help other parents attain what I had- knowing my child is safe, skilled, and actually really happy in the water (when she finished her lessons). I decided to become an Instructor in 2007.
It never gets old seeing a baby be able to roll on to their back and float and be able to breathe before they can even stand up. With drowning being so prevalent in our area, we need to prepare children with the skills needed to survive in and around the water. ISR does just that. Even my youngest has put her skills to the test when she decided to walk off the back of an anchored boat in Lake Boca.
Helping children become competent in the water is so important to me, that teaching these lessons is not a job, it is a passion. This passion never feels like work.
I have taught over 1,000 children the ISR Self-Rescue skills needed to survive if ever in an aquatic emergency and to SWIM for fun as well as trained over 30 Instructors for ISR. I can't wait to meet your family so you can enjoy the amazing ISR results for yourselves!
