About Jennifer:
I am a married Mother of 4 amazing children (who am I kidding rambunctious, wild ones is more like it). Early Childhood Professional, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, American Heart Association CPR instructor, and Certified ISR instructor.
Growing up on our family sailboat “Gracious” I’ve always had a profound love and respect for the water. Fear of the water is not an option in our family. However, my love for the water changed after a traumatic experience.
Years ago, while at a pool party I SAVED a child’s life by performing CPR on her. After 6 sets of compressions She was awake looking for her Mommy! She is one of the good stories you hear about and walked away unscathed.
Unfortunately, after that day my love for the water turned into a fear of the water.
I knew we needed to find the best swim program for our boys 3yrs and 15m at the time. After researching the options available in my area, I knew ISR was the best choice. I was amazed at what they were able to learn in such a short period of time.
Being a teacher myself I was fascinated with the teaching process of ISR lessons. The program really shined for me when I watched my boys and the child I saved, simulate saving themselves fully clothed. I could finally enjoy being around the water again.
Shortly after my boys completed the program, I made the choice to leave my classroom behind to become a Certified ISR Instructor. My favorite part of being an ISR instructor is when my students make me feel like a celebrity when they see me out of the pool. I love the special bond I create with my students.
The strong aquatic foundation we build together will last their lifetime, there is nothing better than that!
